Comprehensive Literature Review of Different Microgrid Schemes

چکیده
Microgrids have a long history. In fact, Thomas Edison‘s first power plant constructed in1882 – the Manhattan Pearl Street Station – was essentially a microgrid since a centralized grid had not yet been established. By 1886, Edison‘s firm had installed fifty-eight direct current (DC) microgrids. However, shortly thereafter, the evolution of the electric services industry evolved to a state-regulated monopoly market, thus removing incentives for microgrid developments. It has been become increasingly clear that the fundamental architecture of today‘s electricity grid, which is based on the idea of a top-down system predicated on unidirectional energy flows, is obsolete [104]. The term Microgrid has been defined by many people in many ways. As recorded at University of Wisconsin, Madison, USA, the term ―MICROGRID‖ has as many as 13 competiting definitions [55]. Different definitions of Microgrid:

Six Sigma: literature review and implications for future research
There has been considerable number of papers published related to Six Sigma applications in manufacturing and service organizations. However, very few studies are done on reviewing the literature of Six Sigma in all the areas including manufacturing, construction, education, financial service, BPOs and healthcare etc. Considering the contribution of Six Sigma in recent time, a more comprehens...
متن کاملHuman activated macrophages and hypoxia: a comprehensive review of the literature
Macrophages accumulate in poorly vascularised and hypoxic sites including solid tumours, wounds and sites of infection and inflammation where they can be exposed to low levels of oxygen for long periods. Up to date, different studies have shown that a number of transcription factors are activated by hypoxia which in turn activate a broad array of mitogenic, pro-invasive, pro-angiogenic, and pro...
متن کاملCongestion Control Approaches Applied to Wireless Sensor Networks: A Survey
Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are a specific category of wireless ad-hoc networks where their performance is highly affected by application, life time, storage capacity, processing power, topology changes, the communication medium and bandwidth. These limitations necessitate an effective data transport control in WSNs considering quality of service, energy efficiency, and congestion control. ...
متن کاملA two-step approach to energy management in smart micro-grids aimed at improving social welfare levels and the demand side management effect
Demand-side management is one of the ways to create interaction between the microgrid and increase consumer participation in management schemes. Different algorithms and strategies have been used to execute consumption management programs that often covering a limited number of loads in several specific types. In this paper, first, the load shift method as an optimization problem to reduce syst...
